SHURE E3C

Strengths: NOISE ISOLATION,BASS, CLEAR RICH SOUND

Weakness: NEEDS TIME TO FIT IN-1 WEEK

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ITEM, I USE IT WITH I-POD NANO, BUT THE BEST RESULTS WITH REGULAR CD'S. GIVE THEM SOME TIME TO FIT IN YOUR EARS. I FEEL BEST WITH YELLOW FOAM INSERTS

Shure E3C

Strengths: Many sizes and types of ear sleeves included.

Weakness: Weak bass.

Headphones used primarily with my 60GB video iPod. The bass is weak compared to the Sony MDR-NC11 Noise Canceling headphone that I use. The E3C produces more mid to high range sound. Was considering the E5, but too pricey.

Worth the money

Strengths: - Music like it was intended to sound like

Weakness: -Bass is very defined but not "booming" as some like (I thought I did)

It's true what they say - the music player should be purchased second to a good set of listening devices. Note to readers: I am by no means an "audiophile". I had been using a pair of Sony FONTOPIA/MDREX51 for about 6 months and thought they sounded great. Overall sound was like the Apple earbuds on my iPod but the bass was much heavier which I liked. Then they fell apart - literally - the cables...

First Try at High End Earphones

Strengths: Excellent range, good seal when you find the right tips, comes with a decent hard case with spool, amazing sound quality.

Weakness: In ear channel may not be comfortable for all people. I noticed that, because of the excellent seal, I could hear every noise in my head (like chewing) and even the cord rubbing against my collar.

The sound quality is amazing. I bought this to use with a 5th Gen iPod Nano. I was hearing details in music that I was not previously aware of. Take the time to fit the earphones properly. Experiment with the tips to get the right fit. This is the first high-end earphones I've ever purchased or used. The difference in quality was staggering.

Shure Sounds Sweet

Strengths: Comfortable, good fit, amazing sound, no background noise

Weakness: Expensive

I purchased these for my iPOD. These headphones sound incredible. Not only are they very comfortable, they are amazingly accurate and have a very full sound. They are really like earplugs with speakers, though. They block out all other noise and you can hear your breathing and footsteps when music is not playing. All in all, they are a tremendous set of headphones!
