Garmin iQUE 3000

Highly frustrating

Strengths: Last for 2-3 good whole months.

Weakness: Totally wasted!

I bought a garmin i que handhled gps 3200 last december - returned it in 1 month flat cos it did not acquire satellites. I bought the ique 3600 again 2 1/2 months back ( I liked the part with PDA and GPS in one device), and IF I am using it, all it does it keeps rebooting continously. iQue3600 GPA/PDA cambo

Strengths: Love this GPS/PDA. I sync Outlook, MS Office Docs w/ Docs-To-Go. Watch Movies with "TCPMP". I love the speaker built into the car charged for navigation voice prompts.

Weakness: Maps updates could be better priced and not have all the security code hassle. Haven't had need to update maps. The flip cover broke off after a few months. replaced w/ iQue case which is much nicer.

"g_giri" you must be doing something wrong X2. I've had my Garmin iQue 3600 for 3 year and works great. I had some issues that I would lockup & have to reboot it ever Month and ahalf but after doing update from Garmin it's much more stable. Unlike the WinMobile (winCE) don't have to worry about a virus w/ PalmOS.

Strengths: Palm integration, integrated database

A fantastic product - highly improved lookup software compared to the earlier iQue 3200 and 3600 models. Please ignore the review by g_giri as they apparently haven't tried any of the iQue models (all of the 3000, 3200, 3600, and 3600a integrate the Garmin GPS and mapping technology with a GPA.) The only time I've seen these units be unstable was caused by flaky third-party PalmOS add-ons. Dollar...
