Sony TJ37 CLIE PDA

Strengths: Digital camera built in, 802.11b wireless, sharp, colorful screen, plays MP3's

Weakness: Poor battery life, digital camera is only .33 megapixels, uses expensive memory sticks

I used this PDA for approximately a month before returning it. On the plus side, the screen is bright, sharp, and colorful. This PDA is fairly feature packed; it has an MP3 player and a digital camera along with the standard PDA functions. Integrated 802.11b wireless allows you to surf the web at any hotspot. The main reason I returned this PDA is battery life. When using the PDA's wireless,...

Sony TJ37 CLIE PDA

Strengths: Wi-Fi, Color Screen, speed, memory, portability, features

Weakness: stylus, battery, chargining/synching connector

This is one of the best purchases I ever made. After owning it for 2 months I was so happy with it that I purchased another one for my wife for Christmas. We own several Sony products so we already had the Memory Stick media. Nevertheless I subsequently purchased a 512MB memory stick to hold more music. UNIT: The unit itself is rather small, fits in my pocket easily. I carry it in my breast...

Sony TJ37 CLIE PDA

Strengths: Really clear picture quality. Wi-Fi enabled. Decent camera.

Weakness: audio is mono best with headphones, bundled software is very limited and

Very good PDA however I am a little concerned with support and upgrades in the future since Sony is not making any more PDA's for the US market.

Sony TJ37 CLIE PDA

Strengths: Wifi, Camera, 200mhz i.xml cpu

Weakness: relatively short battery life, internal antenna?, older PIM applications

The clie runs on Palm OS 5.2.1, which i think is the best OS for pda's right now, very fast to reset if ever needed, and very efficient w/ memory. The screen of this pda is indeed darker than the PalmOne handhelds, however the color is just a bit better, and the brightness level is still more than needed. The screen performance in sunlight is pretty good for a color screen and is easy to view....

Sony TJ37 CLIE PDA

Strengths: Great color screen, great sound, and wifi

Weakness: Battery gets used up quickly

I love my new Clie tj37! It's small, lightweight, and very productive! I can do everything I want on it: e-mail, MP3's, movie clips, internet, take pictures, and scheduling. The only disadvantages are the battery life and the case it comes with (kinda flimsy). Overall, I'd recommend the TJ37!

Sony TJ37 CLIE PDA

Strengths: lots of features. sleek design. great screen.

Weakness: Not necessarily a product weakness, but if you have a mac and want to use the clie to sync with your desktop applications, it is a very confusing process to get it to work. If at all.

As a standalone pda I would still get this one over all of the others I had looked at. But I was most interested in being able to use it in conjunction with my apple laptop and its calendar/mail/address book etc. I know its a "windows world", but this one seemed to have some compatability with a mac. Well after spending many hours going over everything I could find I gave up on syncing and just...

Sony TJ37 CLIE PDA

Strengths: Hi-res, Wi-fi, mp3, digi-cam, kimona, and software bundles. Small, sleek, and cool design. Free Documents-to-go Professional upon registration!

Weakness: Nav buttons aren't good for games :( No cradle! Stylus is small and gives my fingers cramps 32MB (23MB available). Memory gets used up quickly on todays apps. Battery drains fast, no biggie.

I've owned a PalmIII, IIIx, Clie T615C, and now this TJ37. This is by far the best one with the most features. My old Clie lasted 3 good years and still works. I just had to upgrade after playing with the TJ37 in the store. Price was $300 at CompUSA which is the most I've paid for a PDA. I've seen them for cheaper on the Net. I use the TJ37 everyday and highly recommend it over others in its...

Sony TJ37 CLIE PDA

Strengths: Clear, crisp screen; numerous features (wireless lan, camera, audio player, camera); nice design

Weakness: Stylus is a little small so hard to handle and it's also hard to get out of the clie; a little pricey

I like my new Clie! It's very simple to use and it pretty much has everything you would expect a handheld to have plus some nice extras. I especially like the camera because I don't have a digital camera. The wireless lan is also great although I haven't had the chance to use that. But that was one thing that attracted me: a separate wireless card for the a handheld would cost an additional $100...

Sony TJ37 CLIE PDA

Strengths: Very nice features such as the camera. The included software is nice. Aeroplayer works great as does Kinoma. Very slim and looks appealing.

Weakness: Wi-Fi doesn't function properly. I have 100% signal from a hotspot but I keep getting errors that won't allow me to access the internet. Tried calling SONY's support line but they were no help.

Other than not being able to connect to the internet this is a nice product. It is worth the cost even without the internet connection. I guess a TJ-27 would do, but it will be a great device once I get the wireless connection up and running. I give the TJ-37 a 7 out of 10!

Sony TJ37 CLIE PDA

Strengths: Great value for money and best bang for the buck. Really crisp picture quality. Wi-Fi enabled. Decent camera.

Weakness: Lousy jog dial and buttons. No bluetooth. Lousy external speaker. No mic.

Eventhough the following comments might seems more negative, I would still recommend this model. I have been looking for a handheld for quite a bit and finally decided to go with this model. I think no other PDA offers such great value for money. I haven't seen one with 320x320 screen, Wi-Fi built in for less than $400. I was able to grab this for about $250. Thats just amazing!. If you are not...

Sony Clie TJ37 Review

The TJ37 costs $50 more than the Palm Zire 71, but it does add a few strong features: integrated WiFi 802.11b, 10 megs more available internal memory, an MS Office and PDF viewer (Picsel Viewer) built into ROM which means it doesn't waste precious storage space. Once you register your TJ37, you'll be able to download Documents To Go 6 Professional for viewing and editing MS Office documents,...
